Vice Chancellor Conversations provides inputs with positive impact and encouraging response from the young lecturers at the Dewan Annex UiTM Shah Alam today. YBhg. Vice Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Ir. Dr. Mohd Azraai Kassim, sharing his idea on how to be excellence in academic and administration while taking the university to great heights of excellence. Indeed, there may be an array of promotion tracks to fit such different career paths in academics and these tracks may have different requirements for promotion. It is critically important that the young lecturers be familiar with the requirements of their particular track early in the course of their career. Vice Chancellor added that everybody should find out the relevant requirements and expectations for promotion and be thinking about these matters from an early point in his or her career, rather than near the end when the promotion clock is ticking. The discussion revolved around the quality of academicians in UiTM.   The advice on how and where young and new academicians are heading to and how do they get there are also highlighted by laying out a general career roadmap academic excellence plan and importantly, present strategies to deal with the potential pitfalls and avoid some of the bumps in the road towards striving for academic excellence.



19-20 August 2019: InQKA has organized series of Internal Audit workshop aimed to achieve the objectives of keeping stringent control over all the quality activities in UiTM. 

The focus participants for this workshop were the Academic and Administration Staff in UiTM Jengka, Pahang Darul Makmur. The workshop was successfully delivered by Associate Professor Dr Azizah Abdullah, Director of Internal Quality Assurance, InQKA. This workshop delivers the knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, by given out the focus on the changes of standard such as risk management, leadership, objective measurement & change, communication & awareness as well as informations on the documentations of COPIA and Internal Audit. It enables the PTJ to reflect on its own priorities and activities by having hands on experience in performing internal audits.

The academic programme assessment workshop is an important activity in the quality assurance process in UiTM.  The programme academic documents were assessed in compliance with COPPA guidelines to reflect the current quality assurance implementation and development of programmes by the faculties and campuses. The review process was conducted through extensive consultation with the qualified internal and external panels, which resulted in the evaluation of seven areas. The seven areas are: i. Programme Development and Delivery; ii. Assessment of Student Learning; iii. Student Selection and Support Services; iv. Academic Staff; v. Educational Resources; vi. Programme Management; and vii. Programme Monitoring, Review and Continual Quality Improvement. Five Provisional Accreditation Programmes and thirteen Full Accreditation Programmes were assessed.

14 – 16 August 2019 – InQKA UiTM has successfully attended Strategic Planning which was called Rethinking Efficiency 2020. The day was started with leisure activities by staff which include fun and mind stimulating activities in developing and inspires teamwork.  Assistant Vice Chancellor InQKA, YBhg. Professor Dr Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor later was given scene setting talk about InQKA current status and challenging input in 2020.

Institute of Quality and Knowledge Advancement (InQKA) has organized a two-day Workshop Documentation and Compilation for Reports of Kumpulan Inovatif dan Kreatif from 31 July to 02 August 2019. Participants were welcomed by YBhg. Prof. Dr. Hajah Roziah Mohd Janor, InQKA Assistant Vice Chancellor.

Throughout the workshop, the writings from Kumpulan Kreatif dan Inovatif (KIK), which includes the Introduction of KIK UiTM 3.0, Quality Control Story and Reports as well as Design Thinking Reports were successfully revised and edited by all panels. Having worked hard and working hard, this workshop has been successfully implemented and achieved the objectives set.
