SePADU and PeeRs PDF Print E-mail

A series of SePADU and PeeRs(User Acceptance Test) workshops for campuses were successfully conducted as scheduled. The campuses were grouped into 4 zones : North, South, East Coast, and Sabah & Sarawak. The participants being very dynamic and hardworking,contributed to the success of the workshops. During the workshops, participants were trained to log their internal audit findings and give feedback on self review reporting process in SePADU and PeeRS (UAT) respectively. Participants are expected to train other auditors at their respective units and subsequently complete their audit  reports using SePADU. InQKA will continuously monitor PTJ’s  quality management system (QMS) via SePADU besides the normal audit procedure.

External Review For Campuses PDF Print E-mail

The cycle for External Review (ER)  visits to 12 UiTM campuses completed on 15 June 2011with Malacca campus. The ER team led by Professor Dr Hazman Shah Abdullah and all InQKA heads focused on the three areas of COPIA (Area 2 :  Curriculum Design & Delivery, Area 3 : Assessment of Students and Area 7 : Programme Monitoring and Review) . In consultation with the Campus  management team, staff and students, it can be affirmed/concluded  that every campus has its own strengths and areas of concern  all of which which were highlighted in the ER report. Suggestions were also made to further enhance the quality of those areas being audited. The ER team would like to thank all the Campuses for  their cooperation, great hospitality and warm welcome. We know that we can never adequately express our appreciation.

UiTM Appoints Student Leaders to the Lembaga Kualiti (Quality Board) PDF Print E-mail

In a pioneering move to provide a greater role and voice for students in the governance of the quality, UiTM has appointed the postgraduate and undergraduate student leaders to its Lembaga Kualiti. The Lembaga Kualiti was established recently as the apex body to deliberate on quality assurance issues and to provide directions and guidance on the quality assurance system for this university system. This development is in line with the Vice Chancellor, Dato Prof Dr. Ir. Sahol Hamid’s style of forming partnership with all stakeholders including the students in the march towards educational excellence. Prof Dr. Hazman Shah Abdullah (Asst. Vice-Chancellor (Quality) who mooted the idea argued that quality is not just the professional concern of the academics and university managers. Quality is and should be a matter of special interest to all students as they are the ultimate recipient and embodiment of the quality of education the university promises and provides. The efforts by Ministry of Higher Education and Malaysian Qualifications Agency are aimed, among others, to place the students or the learners at the centre of the education orbit. To make the change, students cannot be passive participants in the quality assurance system. It is not enough for them to provide feedback on their satisfaction with teaching and learning. They must be engaged directly and actively in shaping the quality system that assures high quality education for all students.
